9th African Food and Handicrafts Festival

15 and 16 May 2010

South African Official Residence


It is with great pleasure that the Angolan Embassy announces the 9th Food and Handicrafts Festival to be held on 15 and 16 May 2010 at the
gardens of the South African Official Residence, Diamantidou 5, Paleo Psychico.

As every year, many African countries will be participating in the festival,
presenting their culture, cuisine and handicrafts, all to the sound of music
and dancing!

Country-kiosks will fill the gardens of the official residence, offering
visitors a chance to acquaint themselves with the customs of each country,
while handicrafts and clothing will be available for sale. Of course, the
festival could not be without African music and traditional dancing.

The gardens will also accommodate tables and chairs where visitors can sit
and enjoy the variety of foods bought from the local Embassies and
communities.

Festival Hours:

Saturday, 15 May: 11:00 - 23:00

Sunday, 16 May: 11:00-20:00

Entrance ticket: 2 euros for adults, children for free
